MAISON CLASSIC FACTORY
A moment to unwind in the city.
Located on the 3F level of Takanawa Gateway Station, MAISON CLASSIC FACTORY crafts made-to-order brûlée choux creams alongside distinct Classic, Modern, and Stone pastry shells.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
A rich scent of burnt sugar greets visitors at MAISON CLASSIC FACTORY, where the signature Brulee Chou A La Crème is caramelized to order using a hot iron on the sugared crust. Breaking through the crisp, pleasantly bitter layer reveals a mellow custard fragrant with vanilla that flows generously from within. The slight bitterness of the scorched sugar tempers the deep sweetness of the cream, leaving a balanced finish.
Beyond the brûlée option, the shop offers a lineup that highlights contrasting choux textures and bake styles. The Classic pastry features a soft, tender shell enclosing a gentle two-layer filling of whipped cream and custard. For those who prefer a firmer bite, the Modern choux pairs the filling with a crisp sablé crust, while the Stone variety showcases a rugged, hard-baked exterior with pronounced crunch, inviting diners to compare and contrast.
The shop sits on the 3F level, just up the stairs from the south ticket gates of Takanawa Gateway Station, operating primarily as a takeaway spot. Boxes and paper carry bags are on hand for gifts or travel, though enjoying a freshly torched choux on a nearby station bench is just as appealing. Payment is entirely cashless, accepting major credit cards, transit IC cards, and various QR code apps.
